Beacon Awards: The University of Phoenix
Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Jul 11, 2008 by Jessica Mitchell
Each year, nearly 19,000 Oklahoma infants are born into poverty, according to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The families of these infants have trouble affording basic needs like diapers and baby wipes, blankets, bottles, clothing, car seats, strollers and more.
To help these families and infants in need, the University of Phoenix in 2003 established a program in which it partners with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The public service program, called Open Your Hearts to Newborns in Need, gathers, inventories and distributes infant necessities to the families of needy babies across the state. University of Phoenix conducts similar programs in several markets around the country, but Oklahomans and the Oklahoma program have set records for generosity and for the powerful partnerships.
“UOP has always been about serving the underserved – working adults, who have very few opportunities to reach their higher education goals. These tiny babies represent the very most vulnerable of the underserved. For families who cannot afford food or diapers, or who don’t have access to a car seat for doctors’ visits, the world is a very different place. We just had to do something to help them,” said Lori Santiago, vice president of the Oklahoma campuses of the University of Phoenix.
“Our partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services has been the key factor in the success of this program,” Santiago said. “Because of OKDHS and its program manager, Karen Jacobs, we are able to send trucks statewide to pick up donated items. DHS then returns everything to its warehouse for inventory and distribution

This paves way for more recruits from India in the coming days. The third benefit is that the workers who work through H1B Visa get real experience in working in USA- the most competitive economy in the world. Let the market demand rule
Indian government and the technology industry have taken the matter of H1B Visa very seriously and are going to lobby hard with US administration when George Bush visits India in the coming days. Indian technology leaders will urge US president George Bush and others in the American Administration to let the market demand determine the number of visas instead of binding it to a fixed number.
What about the other countries in Asia?
China has already established its own presence in the technology sector of USA.

2. When and if payback happens. – Pay back is meaning paying back the initial investment by a partner. Payment should only come if the investor will not own any part of the company when he is paid back in full(plus a little extra for being an investor). If they are to remain part owner of the company then they should recoup their losses through the revenue generated by the business.
3. Who will over see operations of the business. – This is important so that you are clear on who will deal with the day to day issues of the company, such as dealing with the clients ect…
4. Who owns what percentage(%) of the company. – This is a very important part because when decisions have to be made, there has to be a clear vision on who has the final say. This is usually who has the major share in the company, so it is best not to go 50/50 when entering into an agreement, at the most you should go 51/49 at least.

Beads in the alternative colors have every bit as much protective power as the traditional blue ones.
Evil eye beads go back thousands of years. The earliest written references to the evil eye occur on Sumerian clay tablets dating to the third millennium BC. Agate beads of exceptional quality, worn to protect the wearer from the influence of the evil eye, were also discovered in royal Sumerian graves at Ur.
In Turkey and Greece, throughout the republics of Central Asia, and all the way to the Turkic regions of western China — the effects of the “evil eye” are believed real, and genuinely feared.

If your original re-frame was positive, great. If not, you can then re-frame, or re-evaluate, the wat you perceived what happened.
A master at positive re-framing will live a happy life. He or she seeks out positive re-frames before, during and after events, situations, and experiences. Even if it is difficult to find a positive re-frame for an unpleasant event, it can still be experienced many ways. For example, “I’ll be glad when it’s over.” “I’m grateful that my life is usually better than this.” This is adding depth to my character.” “I will devote my life to help prevent others from this suffering.”
Depending on your entire life history, you will either tend to be a positive re-framer or a negative one. Those people who had an early environment with positive re-framing will usually find it easier to find positive re-frames throughout their life. But even if you grew up in an environment of negative re-frames, it is never too late for you to begin to master positive re-frames.
Here are some questions to ask about events and experiences that will help you master the skill of re-framing.
